The choices between glass and plastic humming bird feeders are a classic discussion that has gone on for ages. Plastic is a safer choice and weighs less. Glass is easier to keep clean and longer lasting. Depending on the size of the feeder you choose will have a greater effect on the choice of materials. If you go through large quantities of nectar, you may choose plastic for greater convenience. Small nectar feeders that will require greater care may be better suited made of glass.
Hint: If bees are a problem, stay away from the color yellow. Yellow to bees is like waving a red cape at a charging bull.
